changes in my study program

Hello everyone, today I will be talking about the changes that could be made in my study program. I studied at the Art Faculty, the poorest faculty at the University of Chile, which has very few resources and an infraestructure that leaves much to be desired... When I entered the career they had just installed decent toilets that were won after a mobilization (before that there were some containers). In the following years they made a library that was supposed to be very modern and good quality, but with the first rain the ceilling literally fell and they had to close it for a while. I don't really know much to say about the program. In general I liked it, although there were some theoretical classes that in my personal opinion were there to fill the curriculum, and they had nothing to do with the practical work that we did at the workshops. If I could change something, I would make the theoretical classes complementary to the practical work carried out in the workshops. I really e...

Hello everyone, today I will say my opinion on the killing of stray dogs to prevent health problems and animal overpopulation.  I do not believe at all that killing animals to prevent overpopulation is a fair measure to carry out. Starting from the fact that it is not the animals' fault, but the one who introduces them on the environment, let them reproduce and then abandon them, not taking care of them. Many dogs are on the streets because of irresponsible humans who didn’t sterilize their pets, and left them lying around or abandoned their dog's puppies in the highway of in some street. Most of the pets that have been generated are the fault of people who introduce animals to habitats that do not correspond to them, causing great damage to the ecosystem, the native animals and plants. And if killing is the necessary measure to end the plagues and overpopulation, they should start by the same human being who is the greatest plague and who sweeps away with the biggest violence ...

My Future Job

Hello everyone, today is the day to talk about the future work I would like to have.  I am already working as I finish all my university classes except English.  I work in an O.N.G. doing woodcut workshops in different municipalities of Santiago, it’s a job I like a lot but I don’t know if it’s what I’m going to do forever. I’ve been working and making my own money for a long time, and I’ve always been self-taught, I like that a lot, being able to handle my times to my liking. I also like music a lot, I rap since I am 13 years old and it is something I wish I could live from.  The music industry in Chile has grown quite a lot the last years, especially in the urban scene, and it becomes increasingly possible to live from music.  For now I have nothing very clear, there are many things that I like to do and I want to continue doing them, and much better if they give me money to live. Although I am clear that in this country it is very difficult to live from arts,...

A serie I would recommend

Hello Everyone, I'm very excited about todays topic because watching movies and series it's a thing I really enjoy. Today I'm going to recommend a serie that I watched last year (and actually this year I watched it again) and that I liked a lot. Top Boy is a t.v. serie that it's written and created by Ronan Bennett, who created the script after interviewing young people from the London working class quarter of Hackney for a few years. The serie main characters are Dushane and Sully, who had live all their lifes in Summerhouse (a neighborhood inspireds by Hackney). They are two young men that sell drugs to survive the hard life of the lower class. They start by being small dealers but in the course of the story they gain more power, but at the same time more troubles. In parallel the life of different characters is shown: the reality of what it is like to grow in the neighborhoods like this, in which opportunities are scarce. Best holidays ever

Hello, in today’s blog I will talk about one of my best vacations.  When I left high school I went with my two best friends on vacations. We raised money together working on different things, and we bought bus tickets so we could go to Argentina! Just before traveling I had an accident, which delayed my departure so my friends waited for me in Buenos Aires, and when I arrived they went to pick me up at the terminal. We stayed that night in a hostel and the next day we went to stay at the house of a friend of my aunt. Once we were installed we went to buy spray paint, they were so many cans that the room was full of them, I had never had so much paint together before. We went out to paint every night we were there, to make the most of the time. I had never been on vacation with friends before that and it was one of my best experiences, which I hope to repeat soon.

A country I would like to visit

Hello, how are you all? Today I'm going to talk about the country I would like to travel someday... I have always liked the idea of going to Spain, mainly because of the music. Since I was a child I'v always been influences by spanish music: rap, trap, ska, punk rock, trova, gipsy music etc. I feel very close to the spanish musical scene, because of the themes they talk about. For example, spanish rap talks about topics that are very different from United States' rap. It's the same with punk rock: the content has a more social background, as opposed to United States' groups that are more superficial and comercial. I would like to go to Spain to get to know better about this musical scene and culture. One of the things I like the most is the gipsy influence in the rhythms and melodies, that can be found in all musical genres whether it is rap, trap or rock. I think it's key is in the poetic that is towards the marginal.

Blog experience

Hello good day, today I will tell you about my experience with this course.  For me in general I find it very difficult to speak English, I have to always be paying double attention and sometimes I get frustrated because I have a very bad base, usually I am lost. But I found that the teacher was very dedicated and understanding and I liked that, although this online class is very strange, I can not get used to it. I also have a very old computer and a very bad internet that has caused me many difficulties to connect myselft. Luckily I have a friend who always helps me when I don’t understand something, whenever I have a doubt I talk to her and she helps me, she is my second teacher.  I’ve had a hard time learning English but I feel like I’m learning a little bit more each time, but I still have to fill a knowledge gap that I’ve had since school.
