changes in my study program

Hello everyone, today I will be talking about the changes that could be made in my study program.

I studied at the Art Faculty, the poorest faculty at the University of Chile, which has very few resources and an infraestructure that leaves much to be desired...

When I entered the career they had just installed decent toilets that were won after a mobilization (before that there were some containers). In the following years they made a library that was supposed to be very modern and good quality, but with the first rain the ceilling literally fell and they had to close it for a while.

I don't really know much to say about the program. In general I liked it, although there were some theoretical classes that in my personal opinion were there to fill the curriculum, and they had nothing to do with the practical work that we did at the workshops.

If I could change something, I would make the theoretical classes complementary to the practical work carried out in the workshops.

I really enjoyed being able to take several elective workshops and being able to explore with other techniques, complementary to the main workshop.

I dedicated myself to the engraving and silkscreen workshops, that were the techniques that I liked the most.

But many times it was difficult to work due to the lack of presses and the large number of students that wanted to use them. The same happened in the screen printing workshop: there were few tables for printing and it could not cope with the number of students who took the workshop.

I know that visual arts is not a profitable career for the socioeconomic system in which we live, but that does not mean that the faculty of arts shouldn't recieve funds and resources from the university and the State (as it's suppostly a State University), since not having an adequate infrastructure for learning of his students, they will not be able to develop themselves as visual artists or artisans in an integral way.
